It seems Amanda's outburst/declaration may be a tactical problem for the defense. If there was truly brutality on the part of the police surely her lawyers would have broached this topic on their own rather than issuing a disclaimer as I've seen stated here at PMF (quoting a news story)? Does it potentially allow the release of as yet unseen interrogation information that could only add to an already bad scenario for her case? Makes me wonder if the stepfather didn't push her to defend an embarassing statement made by the FOA...If by some riduculous long shot it did turn out to be true would it really make a lot of difference?
